Since Gretchen will be driving from Sedona instead of flying she has generously extended the deadline for scheduling this workshop to February 5th. So there is still time to sign up!

This upbeat, three-day workshop will teach you how to explore and create with cold wax and oil paint. This medium is totally different from encaustic and provides incredible texture and depth while encouraging a true sense of play and discovery! If you don’t like something, just cover it up with another layer of wax and paint! No pressure. Suitable for all levels. All materials provided for an additional fee.

a couple things to keep in mind
Students: No class January 30th but if you would like to gather your panels and gesso
I’ll have stations set up for a gesso party from 10-12
New Session of Oil Painting Foundations begins
Wednesday mornings 9-12
The focus is on beginning with an oil rubout technique to learn drawing and values using the minimum oil painting supplies then two weeks we will focus on color mixing with a split primary palette and add color to a previously rub-out painting.

Cindy has agreed to continue teaching this weekly class, due to space restrictions the new time will be Tuesday afternoons 1-4pm

A Painterly Approach to Acrylics
This class focuses on what is known as loose brushwork. Realism or representational painting is the style of work, with looser more visible brushstrokes as the technique in rendering a landscape. This technique is less about detail and more about simpler more expressive shapes and color.
