Strengthen your basics and improve your ability to communicate through the Oil Painting medium
With a patient hand, William will guide you to creating incredible texture and space in your work.
Workshop Description
We will be working on painting exercises with the focus being on creating depth, space and the illusion of three dimensional space as well as depicting various textures such as wood, metal, glass, fabric etc.
We will also touch on the techniques of Glazing and Underpainting.
William believes very much in tailoring his instruction to each individual student and encourages prior communication via email to discuss their work and goals beforehand.
About William
William Martin b1953
William took up oil painting in Los Angeles, California, at the age of nineteen and began teaching at twenty one.
Through more than forty years passionately portraying the beauty surrounding him, he has honed and refined his ability as a master painter as well as an inspiring teacher.
Known for his classical still life paintings, he possesses the range and ability to paint in diverse styles.
Currently his work expresses his love and passion for the West.
Martin has had numerous shows in Beverly Hills, Carmel, Palm Springs, California, Santa Fe, New Mexico, Dallas,Texas, Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, Gto Mexico and is currently showing in Aspen, Colorado, Cody, Wyoming, Taos, New Mexico, and Tubac, Arizona.
His work can be found in many international collections.
