Scott Gellatly holds a degree in painting and drawing from the University of Oregon and has exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States. A landscape painter at heart, Scott’s work has become more abstracted, with greater emphasis on pure color and gestural mark-making to evoke the visual sensations gifted by nature.
Scott lives in Portland, OR with his family.
“Fabulous course. It has allowed me to make my color choices from understanding, not trial and error.”
Scott G. Is a fantastic teacher, the best I’ve ever had. Before I retired, I taught instructors how to use instructional strategies to present information. Scott not only uses the strategies for presenting information, but understand the content.
Inspiring Course. It has given me the confidence and understanding how to limit my palette and to realize the freedom that comes with that. I feel the lessons and exercises are bubbling up from my subconscious and appearing in my new work.
