This 6-week class offers a mix of various art techniques in a fun, and relaxed setting.  We will explore both oil and acrylic techniques with various applications to create original art cards and/or small paintings.  With acrylics, collage papers will be rendered using a mix of various types of papers (tissue, vintage book pages, rice paper, etc.) and added design elements (e.g., stencils, stamps, vintage ephemera, image transfers).  Cards can also be made using oil and oil and cold wax on canvas paper. The class will focus on color and abstract composition and each person will explore their own personal style.

Supplies needed:

Acrylic paints and/or oil paints in a split palette (e.g., warm and cold – red, blue, yellow and titanium white).

Supplies provided:

Cold wax, canvas paper, cards/envelopes, glue, brushes, tape.
