Travel Sketch Tubac!
Learn step by step proven methods to approach sketching from life, simplifying scenes then adding richness with watercolor and ink.
Learn several methods of quick sketching so you can choose your best style of sketching. Adding details, color and texture will be your next step. The basics of watercolor will be included. Layering one new skill on another until you are comfortable out on location sketching around your neighborhood or around the world.
Our emphasis will be to wander scenic Tubac to capture this colorful village. You will return home with a memorable record of you visit and new skills to last a lifetime.

About Betsy Kimbrough
Betsy is an award winning painter who enjoys the challenge of new subjects, new mediums and new places. Capturing memories and vistas in paint on canvas or paper with oil, gouache, acrylic, cold wax, pen, ink, pencil and watercolor on location or in the studio. I enjoy them all as each offers unique qualities for each new work.
I have had the privilege of learning from some of the best painting and sketching teachers including David Simons, Phil Starke, Walter Porter, Shelby Keefe, Joshua Been, Tonja Sell, Jane Davies, Kathie Odom, Roberta Rogers, Sarah Sedwick, Lori Putnam, Bill Cramer, Liz Steele, Pat Southern Pearce, Sheri Blaukopf, Kath McCauley and Dawn Whitelaw.

Betsy is fun and energetic and provided a mountain of information. Each person absorbed what they could at their skill level. Her lighthearted encouragement and attention to each students needs was good. I enjoyed being in her class and meeting all those other creative souls.
